My Bio
Logan Edwards is a composer, conductor, educator, and all-around professional musician. He is dedicated to both the pursuit of new quality music and to the cultivation of musical skills in the next generation. As a public school teacher, Logan works directly with his students to foster an environment where they feel safe to express themselves. He is also an active performer, specializing on clarinet and keyboard.
As a scholar, Logan is a member of multiple organizations, each geared toward the development of certain areas of music. These include the National Association for Music Educators, Oklahoma Music Educator's Association, and Society for the Study of Sound and Music in Games. He is also a collegiate member of Phi Mu Alpha, a national American music fraternity. Logan is an active ludomusicologist, with a focus on Nobuo Uematsu and the music of Final Fantasy. Logan's primary thesis centers around why the music of Uematsu-san should be taught to students, as well as how this music has become the new cosmopolitan genre for musicians.
Logan is currently in graduate-level study at Oklahoma City University, where he is working towards degrees in Wind Conducting and Composition. His Bachelor's degree was awarded summa cum laude from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. His teachers and mentors include Dr. Matthew Mailman, Dr. Edward Knight, and Dr. Anne Watson.
